As the festive season gets underway, we stay up for moments of laughter, smiles, and the heat of excellent company.
Yet, biblical joy reaches far beyond these beautiful but fleeting moments of happiness. It isn’t tethered to circumstance but anchored in eternity – in our restored relationship with the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the brand new life given by the Holy Spirit.
This joy is a quiet strength in suffering, a steadfast hope that defies despair, and a give up that trusts in God’s faithful goodness above all else.

Luke 2:10-12
“But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you excellent news that can cause great joy for all of the people. Today within the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he’s the Messiah, the Lord. This will likely be an indication to you: You will discover a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.'”
Isaiah 9:6
