Former Conservative MP Miriam Cates has warned the Scotland is moving “towards abortion extremism”, following a November report by the Scottish government’s Abortion Law Reform Expert Group.
The group, which has been criticised for being stacked in favour of pro-abortion voices and for potential conflict of interest, effectively really useful allowing abortion as much as the purpose of birth, removing the requirement that two doctors log off on an abortion.
The report also had nothing to say concerning the issue of sex-selective abortion and effectively called for abortion to turn into a right.
Cates, writing for The Critic, noted that the “Expert Group” didn’t have a single pro-life member and actually included the pinnacle of advocacy for BPAS, Britain’s largest abortion provider.
