Last but definitely not least, AI isn’t God. Ministers, let alone all Christians, shouldn’t idolize AI because it will probably take the place of God in a single’s life. After delivering the Israelites from Egypt, God told Moses at first of the Ten Commandments, “You shall haven’t any other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that’s in heaven above, or that’s within the earth beneath, or that’s within the water under the earth. You shall not bow all the way down to them or serve them, for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the kids to the third and the fourth generation of those that hate me, but showing steadfast like to hundreds of those that love me and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:3-4).
In each cases, God warns against idolatry, which incorporates images, since it replaces it above Him. As it has often been said, an excessive amount of of an excellent thing is a foul thing. Or, in one other way, anything can turn out to be an idol. This not only goes for pastors but Christians as an entire. We are to make use of AI, but to not the purpose where we turn out to be more dependent upon it than God; otherwise, it becomes idolatry.Â
