Why Silence on Sexuality Is Hurting the Church

Have you noticed the confusion around the subject of sex and sexuality, especially within the church? We have to have the mind of Christ in terms of coping with sex and sexuality.

Scripture reminds us that sex was created for marriage. Yet statistics say that greater than half of Christians on this nation think it’s okay to have sex out of wedlock. There’s an issue that has grown out of our silence. I believe that we have got to begin encouraging our leaders to discuss this issue, bring this before Christ, open up the word, and return to a purer way of life, loving, and behaving, not only in our bodies, but with our minds and our hearts and our souls.

To state the awkward, difficult truth:  premarital sex is mistaken. God created sex for marriage. Purity is very important. It’s not only a couple of bunch of rules. It’s about understanding the way you’re loved and the way God wants you to think when you consider the blessings he has for you within the sanctity of a relationship called marriage. I would like to encourage you that it’s never too late, irrespective of how old you’re. If you are doing things shouldn’t be working for you, then I invite you to open up and permit the Lord to cleanse and wash you. I invite you to repent of your sin and to essentially and truly give up each area of your life and your heart and your mind and your body to Christ who died for you.
