IT IS that point of 12 months again. We open our Train-A-Priest (TAP) appeal every year on Ash Wednesday. This 12 months, after six years supporting ordinands in Africa, we’re returning our attention to those with a call to serve within the Church of England. Your donations is not going to only support ordinands experiencing hardship during training, but, also, for the primary time, help people at an earlier stage of exploring their vocation. Our hope is that the supply of TAP grants will help to remove a few of the barriers to participation for people from less financially secure situations.
Donations this 12 months already stand at almost £9000. Every penny you can give will go to ordinands, and those that are exploring a vocation to ministry within the Church of England and face financial difficulty. Nothing is retained to cover administrative expenses.
