This week on social media, leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints shared how people can show love by serving others.
As a part of a Valentine’s Day message, President Russell M. Nelson, President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, invited members to recommit themselves to following the 2 great commandments: to like God and to like their neighbors.
“Giving help to others — making a conscientious effort to care about others as much as or greater than we care about ourselves — is our joy,” President Nelson said.
The Relief Society general presidency — President Camille N. Johnson, Sister J. Anette Dennis and Sister Kristin M. Yee — shared an invite for all adult women and young women turning 18 this 12 months to assemble to look at a worldwide Relief Society devotional on March 17, 2024.

In his post, Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shared a story of an English cathedral that was bombed during World War II. Inside, a statue of the Savior had its hands blown away. Ultimately the church decided to not repair it. Instead, they placed an indication that read, “Christ has no hands but yours.”
He said individuals can show their gratitude for the Savior by being “His hands here on earth.”
Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, wrote about his recent Provo Missionary Training Center devotional wherein he taught that access to the facility of the Atonement of Jesus Christ comes through repentance.
“He isn’t just willing but anxious to assist us overcome sin and find joy,” Elder Christofferson said.
He also shared photos he took along with his grandsons on the MTC, one in every of whom is training there and two of whom work there as teachers.
Elder Ronald A. Rasband of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shared a video from his recent ministering visit to Maui, Hawaii, where there have been severe wildfires last 12 months.
Elder Rasband said he was “deeply touched” by the religion of members there — including Lahaina 2nd (Tongan) Ward Bishop Matavaimo’ui Ma, who’s ministering to victims in his ward despite having lost his own residence to the fires.
Elder Gerrit W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shared that he taught BYU-Idaho students at a devotional Sunday, Feb. 11, to “treasure up” the “lilies of the sphere” as pointed to by the Savior, as a substitute of comparing themselves to or judging others.
Elder Patrick Kearon of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles shared a reminder of God’s love for His children.
“To those of you who’re considering, ‘Well, not me,’ He especially loves you,” Elder Kearon said.
Brother Bradley R. Wilcox, first counselor within the Young Men general presidency, invited young men, and their parents and leaders, to follow Young Men Worldwide on social media.
The latest social accounts, he said, are meant for sharing announcements, spiritual insights, teaching suggestions and activity ideas.
