King Charles III and Queen Camilla will meet Pope Leo XIV once they visit the Vatican in October.
The meeting will happen through the King and Queen’s rescheduled state visit to the Vatican.
The original state visit was presupposed to happen in April with Pope Leo’s predecessor, the late Pope Francis.
It was postponed as a consequence of Francis’ ill-health, although they paid a transient visit to him on the Casa Santa Marta, a guesthouse within the Vatican where he had been convalescing on the time. He died just a couple of weeks later.
