Hebrews 10:36 says:
“You must persevere in order that when you might have done the need of God, you’ll receive what He has promised.”
Not once you get all of it right. Not once you crush every goal. Not once you’re perfect. When you persevere. In other words: just don’t quit. Some of essentially the most powerful people I do know aren’t necessarily the neatest, loudest, or most gifted. They’re those who consistently showed up.
They kept showing up in prayer.
Kept showing up within the Word.
Kept showing up in obedience, even when nobody else saw it.
And over time, God honored it. He all the time does.
Keep Showing Up
I don’t know what promise you’re clinging to. I don’t know what area of your life feels stuck, stagnant, or silent. But I do know this: Everything God has for you is on the opposite side of consistency. Not your best day. Not your most inspired moment. But your on a regular basis faithfulness.
Keep sowing. Keep forgiving. Keep trusting. Keep obeying.
Because the life you desire, the peace you seek, the achievements you long to see—it’s not present in spurts of inspiration. It’s discovered within the each day, sometimes mundane, but all the time sacred decision to maintain going. And once you do? You’ll get up sooner or later and realize the promise wasn’t delayed. It was developing. Because God was never constructing the thing. He was constructing you.
