Chairman Man-Hee Lee: The Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, Is the Only Church Teaching the Unadulterated Revelation

“If anyone adds to or takes away from the words of Revelation, they will have no access to heaven” (Revelation 22:18-19).

Chairman Man-Hee Lee, the spiritual leader of the Shincheonji Church of Jesus, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, emphasizes a fundamental truth during his nationwide church visits: his community is the only church in the world where all believers fully and correctly understand the Book of Revelation.

This extraordinary claim is founded on a unique educational system: all prospective members must complete an extensive biblical education at the Zion Christian Mission Center—consisting of beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses—and pass a demanding final exam with around 100 questions. The unprecedented success of this educational model is reflected in four historic graduation ceremonies, each with over 100,000 students successfully completing their biblical education.

“Just as a thirsty person instinctively seeks water, today those who truly thirst for knowledge gather where the unadulterated Word of God is taught,” Chairman Lee explains. “In these crucial times, believers worldwide must learn to discern truth from deception through the New Testament, and especially the Book of Revelation.”

During his visits, Chairman Man-Hee Lee repeatedly cites Revelation 22:18-19 and stresses: “No one may add to or take away from Revelation; whoever disregards this will be excluded from the kingdom of heaven.” With fatherly authority, he encourages believers not only to understand Revelation intellectually but to deeply engrain it into their hearts and minds.

In faithful application of this core teaching, Shincheonji’s education department conducts the “Seal of God Certification Test” for all members worldwide. Initially conducted digitally during the COVID-19 pandemic, the test is now administered in person at local churches. Its clear goal is that every member becomes a “walking Bible”—a living testimony of God’s unadulterated Word.

A church spokesperson explains the fundamental difference from other Christian communities: “The authentic understanding of Revelation can only be conveyed by a person who has seen and heard the fulfillment of the prophetic events firsthand. Since the vast majority of Christian leaders and believers have neither seen nor experienced this fulfillment, they have—often unknowingly—altered Revelation and thus violated the explicit command of Scripture.”

He adds with conviction: “Apart from the believers of Shincheonji, the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony, literally not a single person in the global Christian community has preserved Revelation in its pure and complete form.”

This realization leads to a profound question: “While our church is often labeled heretical by traditional Catholic and Protestant institutions, we are demonstrably the only community whose members fully and accurately understand Revelation. The established churches, their clergy, and their members have misinterpreted the holy texts. So, who truly upholds orthodox doctrine, and who has deviated from the true faith? We confidently submit ourselves to the judgment of the Bible itself.”

The weekly examinations in Shincheonji cover the Four Gospels as well as the entire Book of Revelation. This spiritual discipline serves a higher purpose: God’s Word is to be indelibly engraved on the heart to preserve the New Covenant in its original purity.

The results of this devoted practice are impressive: from January to April of this year, participants achieved an average score of 99, with a participation rate of 97%, and 99.9% of examinees scoring over 90 points. These figures vividly demonstrate the members’ exceptional spiritual commitment and deep understanding.

With a critical view of the current state of Christianity, a Shincheonji representative observes: “Many Christians today ignore or downplay the significance of the prophecies in the Gospels and Revelation, yet hastily label Shincheonji as heretical. When asked to substantiate their accusations biblically, they fail to provide a sound answer—an astonishing parallel to the situation at the first coming of Jesus when religious authorities condemned Him without biblical grounds.”

Particularly striking are the testimonies of former pastors who found their way to Shincheonji: “This is truly the only church that correctly teaches and authentically practices the Bible.” One former pastor openly admits: “Shincheonji teaches the Bible in its entirety, from Genesis to Revelation. Ordinary members often possess a deeper biblical knowledge than I had after years of theological education. I had to let go of my preconceived notions and rediscover my faith from the ground up.”

Pastor Choi, another convert, confesses: “Although I spent years as an ordained minister teaching the Bible, it was only through Shincheonji that I realized how shallow my understanding truly was. Churches should give their congregations the opportunity to hear Shincheonji’s teachings without prejudice before passing judgment.” He adds emphatically: “It is irresponsible not to teach the Bible in its full depth. All Christian leaders should listen to these messages so that all of Christendom can recognize God’s final work.”
