The decision of the Supreme Court to rule that men are men and ladies are women has been described by some as a “victory for common sense”.
The decision mirrors Donald Trump’s executive order declaring that there are only two genders within the US, which was similarly praised as an important victory.
In a way that is true, however the indisputable fact that this even became a difficulty shows just how far we have now fallen. It should never have gotten to the purpose where this was obligatory in any respect.
The sad fact is that “common sense” is not any longer common for a lot of people, lots of them in positions of power.
Alexander the Great is alleged to have commented that the people of Asia became slaves because they might not pronounce the word “no”.
For many years now the number of individuals on this country who’re willing to say “no” has dwindled so significantly that probably the most demented ideas of what’s now called “woke” were simply accepted for fear of offending or invalidating individuals who needed to listen to that powerful, one-syllable word. Those who did dare to say no – lots of them Christians – often paid a heavy price, losing their jobs and being dragged through the courts for years on end with only a few standing by their side to support them.
We might be thankful that the Supreme Court has now intervened on the side of sanity, and we will further hope that it helps to undo among the madness that has come to be a daily a part of British society.
Together with the Cass Report, this will signal more protection for youngsters from activists who for some reason appear to want children to break their minds and bodies by changing gender, all at a time once they are at their most vulnerable and impressionable.
