How to Remember and Cherish the Good Things in Life

Here are a couple of things that we have learned over 24 years of marriage about not sweating the small stuff. We’ve learned that life is simply too short to sweat the small stuff. We all hear stories about people who find themselves dying, and all of us have goals of where we wish to be at the top of our lives. Even now, once I look back to the past, I select to recollect and cherish the great things. I do not remember how the dishes were dirty, or the plant fell over and broke, and we had to wash it up, or we got a flat tire.

I believe there are quite a lot of individuals who will come to the top of their lives, stand before Jesus, and forget what the irreconcilable differences were. They’re going to recollect their wedding day, but they will not remember the explanation why they got divorced. There isn’t any condemnation if you’ve been divorced, but for those of us who’re still married, let’s not sweat the small stuff. We’re not even going to recollect it.
