Each time I read and reflect on these delicate pieces of scripture, I’m reminded that while fear may whisper lies in my ear, God’s truth is an undeniable declaration of affection, strength, and presence. Fear and anxiety might remain a continuing or consistent battle, but with each prayer and every truth of scripture I embrace, I slowly dismantle the partitions that fear has built around my heart and mind.
Both faith and fear require belief within the unseen, similar to this sensible preacher delivered to my attention. When fear seeks to devour us, may we remember and acknowledge that faith invites us to trust in something far greater than ourselves.
The alternative is ours to make. We can allow fear to dictate our lives, or we will step forward into the long run with faith, trusting that God is with us every step of the best way.
As we walk through life’s unknowns and the deep valleys, may we do not forget that we aren’t defined by our fears but by our faith. God empowers us with the spirit of so many things, fear shouldn’t be certainly one of them. May we be strong and courageous, searching for Him in our struggles and greater than anything, may we be delivered from our fears with each our lively pursuit of religion and His lively pursuit to guard and guide.
Fear places limits on our lives, but lucky for us, our God has no limitations. In my darkest moments and in my most terrified of times, I hope I do not forget that, and I hope you’ll, too.
