FOR the fifth yr running, we’re asking readers to donate to TAP Africa, the extension of the annual Church Times Train-A-Priest (TAP) Fund, which has been going for greater than half a century, to ordinands in Africa.
Legacy income continues to support English ordinands; so, we again ask for donations for those training for the priesthood with almost no funding behind them, in countries where the necessity for clergy is matched, sadly, by a widespread inability to support them and their families during training.
Last yr’s appeal raised greater than £45,000. We hope that this yr’s appeal can match that, and even surpass it. Every penny donated goes on to those in training within the poorest African countries.
