We don’t typically consider prayer as a option to show a individual that we appreciate them, but here’s the thing: prayer changes all the things, especially our relationships. Prayer is our connection to the God who’s love, the God who shows us what it means to like our spouse unconditionally. When you stay in tune with Him and recall to mind all the explanations you are grateful God blessed you together with your spouse, that heart of thanks will naturally guide the way you interact together with your partner.Â
Note: it is important to be specific here. Don’t simply breeze through a “Thanks for my spouse, God,” prayer. Thank God that he brought this person to you whenever you doubted you’d ever find someone, whenever you were betrayed by one other, or whenever you felt as if nobody saw you for who you truly were. Thank God for his or her patience, labor, loving nature, respect to your family, love of your dreams, etc. When you speak what you are grateful for, specifically to God, it transforms your heart.Â
Though your spouse may not hear this thanks prayer, they may feel it in the best way you permit your conversations with God to melt your heart toward them.Â
