What’s the Key to Healing When You Can’t Forget the Hurt?

I can not forget what happened to me. I can not willingly remove it from my brain, but I can stop willingly remembering it, meaning I can stop revisiting it. I can stop eager about what happened and have a look at the Gospel.

All of the things that you have got done, every part that you have done fallacious, you have done against God. Our sins are against a holy, almighty, perfect, sovereign, all-powerful God, and that God looks at you and thru the cross says, I absolve you of your sins, that you just aren’t any longer held eternally chargeable for the crimes that you have got committed against me, and He forgives us. As we glance on the Gospel, we understand that we have now received grace, are recipients of grace, and are to pass grace on to others.

Jonathan “JP” Pokluda is the Lead Pastor of Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, TX. He was formerly the leader of The Porch in Dallas, TX, which grew to be the most important weekly young adult gathering of its kind within the country. JP didn’t come to know the grace of the Gospel until his early twenties after being involved in several denominational churches his entire life. This ignited a desire in him to encourage young adults to radically follow Jesus Christ and unleash them to alter the world. JP’s partner in ministry is Monica, his wife of seventeen years, and together they disciple their children Presley, Finley, and Weston.
He has written 5 best-selling books, and is currently working on “Your Story Has a Villain.” This book is for you in the event you’re weary from the struggle and able to embrace the abundant life God has for us. It will show you how to explore the tactics of Satan, equip you to beat spiritual battles, and remind you of the victory already secured through Jesus. Learn more at his website, jonathanpokluda.com.
