How God’s Presence Guides Us through Difficult Endings and New Beginnings

Last yr, I ended a project I had been constructing and dealing on for 12 years. It wasn’t since the project had failed or been unsuccessful—in reality, it had been hugely successful.

But I spotted that to get to the subsequent level in my life, I’d must let that go so I’d be freed up to provide all of me to something recent I used to be working on. It was all about doing something recent, so I needed to let the old thing die, and I ended it. In Ecclesiastes 3, 1-2, King Solomon says, There is a time for all the pieces and a season for each activity under the heavens.

A time to be born, a time to die, a time to plant, and a time to uproot. Bringing things to an end may be hard. Something in us appears like we have failed if something doesn’t just proceed perpetually.

But, for many things in life, there is a time to begin them and produce them to an end. Ending something does not imply failure. I’m convinced that God is just as much in endings as in beginnings.

He even calls Himself the Alpha and Omega, the start and the ending. Alpha and Omega were the primary and last letters of the Greek alphabet. God has no starting or end.

But He’s saying that His presence is in all things, the beginnings and the endings. So we do not have to be afraid to let some things end. In fact, we regularly hinder recent beginnings by refusing to let older things pass away.

We keep attempting to breathe life into something that is already past its expiration date, which may limit us. Weirdly, endings bring freedom.

If all you might have is beginnings and you might be always adding recent things with no endings, you’ll eventually get overwhelmed. Sometimes we’ve to dedicate a season to ending something rather well. If you are like me, I like starting recent things, love those seasons.

But to do things thoroughly, sometimes you might have to provide your best to finish it well and finish strong. All healthy living things have an expiration date. If you are looking at food that never expires, it’s probably not superb for you.

And that is probably since it was already dead or was never alive in the primary place. And staying in places without life for you’ll hinder you. Sometimes, we must acknowledge that the season is over, and that is okay.

God is within the ending, too. And we trust him to bring a recent starting after we step away from that old thing. So my prayer is that this.

May we be those that aren’t afraid to bring some things to a detailed in our lives? May we trust that God is at all times at work accomplishing his purposes. Ultimately, we are able to have faith that he who began good work in us will complete it.
