But everyone knows that within the season of getting young kids around your feet, as much as they’re the most important blessing, there’s also complete chaos that should be walked through. Floors that never seem clean, dishes that eternally mount, and washing that seems to come back from Mary Poppins bag! Added to that, the responsibility of taking care of a life that you ought to keep from harm and are likely to rigorously, but additionally balancing your issues from life thus far isn’t easy. Â It is in that season I pray:Â
Dear Jesus,Â
I might be eternally thankful for the youngsters you will have given me. For the little hands I get to carry, the little feet that I see walk around my home, and the little smiles that brighten my day. But I’m only human, and sometimes those little hands and feet make messes that I don’t even know how one can clean; they undergo clothes, food, and money prefer it goes out of fashion. As much as I’m thankful, I’m also sleep-deprived, malnourished, and over-touched. Jesus, would you help me parent them like Father God would? Would you help me to be gracious on the fiftieth time they shout Mom before 10 am? Would you help me to be kind after they spill one other cup of juice and help me to like them purely, without ties or strings? This season is not going to last eternally, but I ask God that you just would bring calm to my home, that you just, yourself, could be present with us, showing us the ropes and helping us take care of our life and never breed that into one other generation. God, you’re so good, and you like me so patiently. Help me be the identical.Â
In Jesus name
Amen.Â
