Why These 5 Father-Daughter and 5 Mother-Son Wedding Songs Are Fan Favorites at Christian Weddings

I like to bop at weddings.

Weddings play a big role within the New Testament, symbolizing divine love and the connection between Christ and the Church. Jesus begins his public ministry at a marriage in Cana, where he performs his first miracle by turning water into wine. At the Last Supper, Jesus uses wedding imagery to explain his relationship together with his followers.

Paul expands on this metaphor in his letters, especially in Ephesians, where he describes the Church because the Bride of Christ. Revelation culminates with the vision of the marriage feast of the Lamb.

Therefore, weddings have great meaning and symbolism, and I select to bop in celebration of each the pleased couple and Jesus’ coming return for his bride. I especially enjoy dancing with my young daughters at these events.

A key element of a marriage is the father-daughter dance, followed by the mother-son dance, showing how parents leave a legacy and foundation for the brand new marriage. Choosing the songs for these dances becomes essential to symbolize this moment.

Here are 5 father-daughter and 5 mother-son dances popular at Christian weddings.
