Best Bible Verses for Newlyweds
There are quite a few verses for newlyweds in Scripture. Whether a pair is newly married or has been married for a few years, God’s Word is very important and everlasting.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It doesn’t envy, it doesn’t boast, it is just not proud. It doesn’t dishonor others, it is just not self-seeking, it is just not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love doesn’t enjoyment of evil but rejoices with the reality. It at all times protects, at all times trusts, at all times hopes, at all times perseveres” (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 NIV)
“A recent command I provide you with: Love each other. As I even have loved you, so you have to love each other. By this everyone will know that you just are my disciples, if you happen to love each other” (John 13:34-35 NIV).
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the best of those is love” (1 Corinthians 13:13 NIV).
“Be completely humble and mild; be patient, bearing with each other in love” (Ephesians 4:2 NIV).
“Therefore what God has joined together, let nobody separate” (Mark 10:9 NIV).
Whether you might be a newlywed or have been married for a few years, having God at the middle of the wedding is significant. With a robust foundation in faith, each moment could be met with hope. There might be wonderful times, precious memories created, and the chance of sharing God’s love with others. There might also be times of worry, concerns, stress, and sorrow. Beginning the wedding with God at the middle allows newlyweds to have a firm foundation. The love of God and the commitment in marriage give everyone the power to share the message of the Gospel through their words and actions.
My husband and I even have been married for over 42 years and we still learn recent things about one another. We have journeyed through many joys and lots of sorrows. Yet, knowing God is with us in our marriage brings hope and joy.
God created us to further His kingdom. Newlyweds have wonderful opportunities to share His love with others.
Blessings,
