Dear Daughter,
You are my every thing, which suggests there is no such thing as a probability for ‘nothingness’—not for you or anyone else who knows and trusts God. A mother’s guarantees and love are daring and unwavering; the one thing more powerful and divine are the guarantees and love of God.
It is common to take care of bouts of fear and anxiousness. It is common to have questions on life and death and to be inquisitive about faith. It’s even alright to be interested by God. You’ll find most of what you would like in scripture and what you may’t find there, ask in prayer. You have your loved ones to allow you to create a faith and knowing that’s stable, but that comes with time, age, and experience. It comes with pain and heartbreak, stuff you luckily don’t have much experience with quite yet, thankfully. Through trials and tribulations, you learn the steadfast ways of God. You learn what you’re made from. Romans 6:23 tells us that.
“The gift of God is everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
In case you don’t fully know the meaning of everlasting, it means infinite and everlasting. It’s the alternative of nothingness. It’s everythingness– perpetually. Remember that in your weakest moments, breathe on this beautiful truth.
These profound words tell us,
“If you set your faith in Jesus, you’ll spend eternity in heaven.”
It’s considered one of the guarantees that helped your grandmother enter her final days without worry about what was to come back. She was certain heaven was ready and waiting for her. One day, my hope is that we’ll all be as faithful as she was in our belief on this promise.
One day, you’ll gain confidence and hope in everlasting life with the Lord, similar to your Memeré.
