5 Lies Christians Believe about Being Busy

Just as with number 4, we, as Christians sometimes carry the assumption that if we aren’t staying busy, people’s perceptions of us will likely be flawed. They will think we don’t care to do the work of the Lord if we take a moment for ourselves, even when after taking that moment, we’re rested and simpler in what we will do for God.

Unfortunately, as a consequence of their relationships with others and their very own beliefs and relationship with God, people can have their very own ideas of what a real Christian does and doesn’t do. What we’d like to recollect is that Jesus remains to be the epitome of perfect Christian, and following His example for work and rest is best than attempting to do anything that will gain the approval of man.

In this world, we’re faced every day with the assumption that busyness is a badge of honor, as an alternative of a weight we stock that increases by the day. People are celebrated in the event that they are busy in every area of their lives, but in God’s eyes, busyness doesn’t mean we’ve achieved greater than a one that makes rest a priority.

Being busy only further distracts us from what God wants us to do as a part of His plan. So, should you feel wrapped up in these lies regarding busyness, take a moment to breathe, put what you might be doing to the side, and listen for the Holy Spirit to guide you thru your day. That will likely be more productive than anything!
