5 Things Christians Like to Say That Jesus Never Would

I often wonder what it will have been prefer to live in the times when Jesus walked this earth. Would I actually have been the one to eagerly climb up in a tree and hearken to His teachings, lean in to the touch His cloak, or strive to be one among His followers? Or, on the flip side, would I actually have been stuffed with skepticism, wondering if He really was the Son of God?

In those days, it was often difficult to inform the reality from all of the lies. The people were divided, civil unrest among the many people caused great tension, and plenty of were trying to find hope. False prophets and mysterious healers proclaimed to heal the hurt and the sick. In other words, confusion was running rampant.

It actually looked eerily just like today’s culture. We live in unsettling times with war looming and everybody grasping for a ray of hope. Many have already are available Jesus’ name or claimed to know He will return. False preachers fill many churches, and lies are in all places. Confusion has develop into normality, and unfortunately, the reality has develop into harder to seek out because it is usually distorted, twisted, or crammed with partial facts.

As faithful believers, we must find a way to tell apart the reality from the lies. It’s essential to the expansion of our faith. However, possibly you might be inquiring about how we do this.

Well, dear friend, it starts by guarding our hearts and minds, shielding them from the ways of this world that so desperately longs to cause inner turmoil and conflict. The world is loud! Which is why we’d like to retreat and get quiet (Psalm 46:10). We must immerse ourselves within the Word to deepen our understanding and connect deeply with our God.

So, so as to tell what’s indeed true, let’s seek to completely understand the truthful words of Jesus. There are many phrases or statements that so easily flail about and are sometimes used, yet they usually are not fully based on truth and may, unfortunately, mislead us.

Living in a broken world that’s searching desperately for hope and healing, we must decide to be mindful of our words so that they’re wrapped in love but in addition express truth.
